Hiking at Rangiwahia, Manawatu, New Zealand

The best way to discover the beauty of New Zealand landscape is basically by walking and hiking. These activities will get you to absolutely breath taking areas which are not accessible by car or four wheel drive. Unless otherwise you've got very deep pocket, you can get there by helicopter or some other means of transportations. But, only through hiking you got to feel the nature.

There are numerous hiking tracks all over New Zealand. Ranging from easy walking track to extreme adventurous for hardcore people. I myself had done several hiking tracks. Photos in this post are from my 6 hours of hiking experience and struggling with thorn bushes, dangerous Deadmans Track, slight groin ache, slightly oversize boots at Rangiwahia, Manawatu, New Zealand.

I reckon they gave the name 'Deadmans Track' for obvious reason. The track is between valleys filled with thorn bushes and extremely steep hills. One silly mistake in those areas could be lethal. You can see in the first picture, the track is on the tip of the hills with steep slopes on both sides. But, at the end of the day, it was all worth it.
